River City Harley Riders
We are a nonsectarian, nonpartisan, and a not for profit 501(c) (7) corporation.
We welcome new members and especially new riders and/or owners. Our dues are only $20.00 per year. We require new members to be sponsored by one or more current members-usually the members who already know the new member.
If you do not know a current member, we will assign one or two current members to be your sponsor. The purpose of the sponsor is to help you get to know the club, our members, and riding style, and help you with web site issues, etc. and so you have someone to sit with at the meetings and a familiar face on the rides. The idea is to make you feel more welcome and less a stranger much quicker than if you join and try to fit in on your own.
Eligibility for membership in RCHR requires that you own a Harley-Davidson motorcycle or have the status of a spouse or significant other of a member. You must agree to conduct yourself in accordance with the general rules, policies, and aims of this organization.
While not required, members are strongly encouraged to become members of National HOG® (your sponsor will explain those benefits). Most RCHR members are former or current local HOG® members and we use most of the HOG® riding styles/signals and HOG® club structure. We strongly encourage riding and having fun and discourage club 'clicks' and politics.
All memberships are required to be approved by the Board (this approval occurs behind the scenes). New members are provided with a user name and pass word to the web site (www.rivercityharleyriders.com) which is used to view and sign up for rides and all other club activities.
No prospective member shall be denied membership due to their sex, race, color, religious or political affiliation, or national origin.
The objective of this organization is to:
- Promote and advance safety awareness during all motorcycling activities.
- Offer a family-oriented club for all its members.
- Encourage participation in events sponsored by RCHR.
- Promote and participate in community functions and fund raising activities of charities.
- Inform the membership of legislation or government actions affecting motorcyclists.
